Play the golf course with the prettiest view in the North Carolina mountains. Enjoy true mountain golf surrounded by views of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Stone Mountain State Park, Doughton Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Thurmond Chatham Game Land. The 27,000 acres of public land that surrounds us guarantees some of the best viewscapes on the planet.
The microclimate on our mountain is phenomenal – summer days are 10 degrees cooler with a lovely breeze. And believe it or not, most winter days are 10 degrees warmer than valley temps.
We have made so many improvements to the course that we ran out of room to list them. You’ll just have to come see for yourself and enjoy!
Stone Mountain Golf Club is just one hour from Winston-Salem, Boone, and Blowing Rock, 1 ½ hours from Charlotte, 2 ½ hours from Raleigh, and 4 ½ hours from Wilmington and Charleston.
The Google map does not show all the roads that long ago replaced the jeep trail shown high atop Greenstreet Mountain. Follow Greenstreet Drive to new clubhouse on View Point Drive. Don’t turn on Clubhouse (that’s where the old clubhouse used to be). Our Directions Page has detailed directions with pictures.
